The XXII World Congress of Political Science took place in Madrid, July 8-12, 2012, at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, organized by IPSA – International Political Science Association.

IPSA – (International Political Science Association) was founded in 1947 in Paris under the aegis of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) with the mission to develop Political Science in the world, build academic networks, create an inclusive and global community of political science scientists. By promoting collaboration among scholars in emerging and established democracies, it encourages the academic freedom necessary for the development of the social sciences. IPSA’s world political science congresses are biannual, moving between continents.

The Political Observatory was present in three thematic areas that it considers current and on which it has ongoing research, presenting itself with associated researchers in the proposed themes.
