The XXIII World Congress of Political Science took place in Montréal, Québec, from 19 to 24 July 2014, organised by IPSA – International Political Science Association.

IPSA – (International Political Science Association) was founded in 1947 in Paris under the aegis of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) with the mission to develop Political Science in the world, build academic networks, create an inclusive and global community of political science scientists. By promoting collaboration among scholars in emerging and established democracies, it encourages the academic freedom necessary for the development of the social sciences. IPSA’s world political science congresses are biannual, moving between continents.
