On April 14, 15, and 16, 2014, the VII Congress of the Portuguese Political Science Association was held at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra.

The Portuguese Political Science Association was founded on September 25, 1998, and held its first congress on December 9 and 10, 1999. With a website since 2003, it has regularly held annual meetings to promote political science in Portugal.

24 researchers from the Political Observatory were present, including associate researchers and PhD students, members of the National Advisory Board, and associate members with communications in Political Theory; Portuguese Society and Politics; and International Relations.
