E-Books

COMING SOON

This category of digital publications e-Books will begin in 2026, with the main objective of publishing electronic books resulting from studies carried out either by integrated researchers or by researchers collaborating as associate members of the Political Observatory. The e-books are integrated into the Political Observatory’s publication network and have a DOI (digital object identifier), which is a numerical identification system for digital content.

Books have been included in this identification system since 1998. With technological advances, digital documents are no longer excluded from the cataloging principle. Today, most documents produced are made available on digital platforms, reflecting a concern to put physical materials online or to create them solely in virtual format. To this end, the Digital Object Identifier was created, which is a record for any type of digital file that, when cataloged, has a permanent link to the published digital document. This work identification number consists of two sequences: (1) a prefix (or root) that identifies the document publisher; (2) a suffix determined by the person responsible for publishing the document. For example: 11.1111.1 / ISBN (or ISSN) The DOI prefix/root is named by the IDF (International DOI Foundation), which ensures that each root is unique.

Texts proposed for publication in e-books will be evaluated by members of the Editorial Board in order to ensure the quality and scientific relevance of the work produced at the Political Observatory.

Editorial preference will be given to master’s dissertations, doctoral theses, and research projects.
