On June 1st and 2nd, 2026, the Political Observatory attended the XIV edition of the Lisbon Forum, held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, joining the group of academics, administrators, experts, and officials present at the event.

In light of the cooperation agreement established on August 27, 2024, between the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development, and Research (IDP) and the Political Observatory (OP), the association held a reception for IDP law students, presenting its work over its 16 years of existence, as well as highlighting the academic mobility agreement between researchers, students, and staff from both institutions.

The association was represented by its members Afonso Rosa, Carolina Lopes, Carolina Querido, Gabriela Caio, Matilde Santana Marques, and Pedro Moreira, who over the course of these days had the opportunity to promote their publications, internships, and events organized by the OP to the other event participants.

On the sidelines of this initiative, the OP also developed a program for IDP students titled “Beyond the Lisbon Forum”, aiming to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the Portuguese political and institutional system, complemented by a distinctive cultural experience of the city of Lisbon.
